Panhandle Trail
Panhandle Trail Overview
 The
Panhandle Trail is a 29 mile rail trail located in Walkers
Mill, Pa. The trail is on the former rail route of the Panhandle
Railroad which ran from St. Louis to Pittsburgh.
The trail trail runs through Collier
Township, Oakdale, Burgettstown, Midway, McDonald and Weirton,
West Virginia.
The
Panhandle Trail connects with the 46 mile Montour
Trail between McDonald and Primrose using a one mile connector
trail in January 2007.
